Fitness Footwear is the official Merrell retailer at the Merrell IceMan duathlon taking place on the 21st of November in Frimley, Surrey.

The town of Frimley in Surrey will play host to the first event in the new Merrell Off-Road Series presented by Human Race on the 21st of November.

As the official sponsor of the Merrell IceMan, the Fitness Footwear team will be there, cheering on the racers and selling Merrell shoes on the day from our suitably impressive sales pitch.

The Merrell IceMan is just the first in a series of 4 off-road duathlon and trail running races held in four unique locations across the South East. Followed by the MudMan in December at Camberley, the WildMan at Hankley Common in January and finally, the TuffMan in February at Pippingford Parkm the Merrell Off-Road Series really sorts the men from the boys with its focus on fun, pain and being covered head to toe in mud!

The real beauty of these No Frills races is that there are no prizes. Instead it’s for those who want to challenge themselves, or to simply survive the ordeal and the IceMan will be a serious test of strength and stamina.

The duathlon begins with a tough, 2 lap, 10km run, followed by a 2 lap bike train with 4 hills on each loop and finishes with a second, softer run, but it will be a killer after the first two challenges. To top it all off, the mud and water will seriously slow down the fastest athletes, so it’s getting very wet and very muddy is mandatory!

Fitness Footwear have always enjoyed a close working relationship with Merrell, so we leapt at the chance to be the official retailer for Merrell shoes at this exciting new event. We’re all looking forward to the day and will have plenty of stock to take down with us.
